Transportation to and from Raleigh/Durham International Airport

GPEN will be providing shuttle buses to and from the airport on November 9 and 12. Shuttles from RDU to the hotels will depart approximately every 30 minutes between 12 noon and 5:30 pm, then at 6 pm and 7 pm on November 9. Students from the GPEN 2010 Organizing Committee will be in the baggage claim area to direct attendees to the shuttles. Look for the sign with the GPEN 2010 logo when you arrive.

On November 12, shuttles from the hotels to RDU will run once an hour between 12 noon and 7:30 pm.

If you need to arrange transportation outside of this time interval, there are several other transportation options between RDU and Chapel Hill.  The SuperShuttle provides transportation from the airport to various locations in the Chapel Hill area.  Tickets can be purchased at the SuperShuttle website or in the kiosk at the airport.  Taxis and rental cars are also available at the airport.  For additional details about ground transportation at RDU, click here.

Transportation around Chapel Hill

Shuttle buses will be available to bring participants from their hotels to the various meeting locations.  Public transportation within the town of Chapel Hill is also free of charge.  More information about Chapel Hill Transit can be found on their website.
