Cathy Critchlow
Cathy Critchlow, MS, PhD
Cathy Critchlow, MS, PhD, is an executive director within the Center for Observational Research at Amgen, Inc. and an affiliate professor of epidemiology at the University of Washington School of Public Health. Dr. Critchlow currently focuses on pharmacoepidemiology studies of medications used for the treatment of bone loss, including studies evaluating the long-term safety and effectiveness of Prolia, which was recently approved for the treatment of postmenopausal osteoporosis. Dr. Critchlow completed her MS in Biostatistics and her PhD in the Department of Epidemiology at the University of Washington. Prior to joining Amgen, she was on the epidemiology faculty at the University of Washington, where her research focused on sexually transmitted diseases and reproductive epidemiology. Dr. Critchlow has served on a number of NIH study sections and special emphasis panels, as well as the Endocrinologic and Metabolic Advisory Committee of the FDA. She is a fellow of the American College of Epidemiology and sits on the board of directors of that organization.
