Doctor of pharmacy students from the UNC School of Pharmacy were awarded first prize for their poster in the category of “Campus-Community Collaborationat the third annual Aging Exchange held on January 24 at the Friday Center. The students receiving the award were third-year pharmacy students Ted Hancock, Glenda Shell, Jessica Nonnemache, Allison Tuell, and second year student Steve Gilmore. A cash prize was awarded to the students, who were presenting the poster on behalf of the Geriatric Interest Group at the UNC School of Pharmacy. The cash prize will be used by the organization for future community service activities.

The Aging Exchange was established in 2004 through the UNC Institute on Aging as an event dedicated to promoting aging through education, research, and service at UNC-Chapel Hill.
