Xin Ming obtained his Masters of Science degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from China Pharmaceutical University. After graduating, he worked for the CASarray Corporation, a biotechnology company in Shanghai. While at CASarray, he was admitted to the University of Texas at Austin's School of Pharmacy, where he earned M.S. in Pharmaceutics in 2004. Xin joined the graduate program in the Division of Drug Delivery and Disposition, now Division of Molecular Pharmaceutics, in the School of Pharmacy at UNC-Chapel Hill in 2004. Currently, he is a member of Dr. Thakker's group. The focus of Xin’s research project is to elucidate the role of apical and basolateral membrane transporters in the vectorial absorptive transport of hydrophlic drugs across intestinal epithelium.
