Lan Feng received her Bachelors of Engineering (Biochemistry) in 2001 and Master of Science (Pharmaceutics) in 2004 from China Pharmaceutical University. She joined the graduate program in Molecular Pharmaceutics at School of Pharmacy, UNC Chapel Hill, in 2006, and is a member of Dr. Thakker's research group. Her current project is to prepare and characterize apical and basolateral membrane vesicles from rat and human intestinal epithelium and from Caco-2 cells. These vesicles will be used to evaluate the role of transporters in the transport of hydrophilic compounds across the intestinal epithelium
