Project involves the design and synthesizing analogs of compound U73122 to develop potent enhancers of tight junction with less cell damages for pharmaceutical purpose. These absorption enhancers will selectively increase the transport of hydrophilic molecules across the tight junctions by modulating paracellular permeability. 96-well transwell Caco-2 cell culture model was investigated to establish an in vitro model for permeability assessment of synthesized compounds.
