In the case of inclement weather, course coordinators should call the University hotline at 919-843-1234 to determine the operating status of the University. During adverse weather incidents, status updates will also be communicated on the University's home page. Once the status of the University is determined, course coordinators should make a decision about holding their classes and place this information on their University voice mail. This information should also be distributed via email and Blackboard if possible. Course coordinators are responsible for communicating with the faculty lecturing in their classes to ensure that this message is clear and consistent.
