Provider-patient communication about medications, pharmacoepidemiology, and outcomes research
Dr. Sleath is a professor in the Division of Pharmaceutical Outcomes and Policy and adjunct associate professor of epidemiology and health policy and administration at the UNC School of Public Health. In addition, she is a research fellow at the Cecil G. Sheps Center for Health Services Research where she works with the mental health and aging research groups. Dr. Sleath is principal investigator on a grant from the National Heart Lung and Blood Institute which involves examining how communication between pediatricians and children with asthma and their caregivers is related to asthma control and child outcomes.
