Lab Site's Appearance and Color Variations
To change the look of your lab site, make sure you’re on the lab site’s home page and click “edit” in the second row of buttons. You’ll go to a page where you can change the following:
- Name of your lab site
- Lab description
- Faculty profile with which this site is associated (which you should not change)
- Lab Associates: skip this part
- Quota: skip this part
- Theme & Variation: The lab site creation tool offers two template themes, each with three color variations. All six theme-variation combinations are displayed below.
- Lab image: You can upload an image for your lab site. This picture will appear on every page of your lab site as part of the top banner. If you picked Theme 1 for your template, you should upload a vertical photo (155 pixels wide by 220 pixels wide), whereas Theme 2 needs a pretty horizontal picture (520 x 210). See the examples below. Contact David Etchison or John Zhu if you need help obtaining or resizing images for your lab site. If you change from one theme to the other, you should replace the existing lab image with one that has the appropriate dimensions.
Click “SAVE” at the bottom of the page when you’re done making changes.
