Biography:

BSc, Genetics, 1977, University of East Anglia, Norwich, U.K., undergraduate research on Herpes virus turkey cultivation with Dr John Penswick and embryo fate –mapping using Drosophila gynandomorphs with Dr Richard Warn

PhD, Virology, 1980, University of Cambridge, research with Graham Darby and Tony Minson on biochemical transformation of mammalian cells.

ACS Postdoctoral Fellowship to Research Associate, 1980-1989, UNC-Pharmacology, research with Yung-Chi Cheng on biochemical pharmacology of antiviral and anticancer drugs
