Division of Pharmacy Practice and Experiential Education

The Division of Pharmacy Practice and Experiential Education (PPEE) supports and advances the practice of pharmacy by providing innovative education and training experiences for pharmacists, both present and future, demonstrating professional leadership, modeling cutting-edge practice and engaging in practiced-based scholarship. The Division serves as a centralized resource for practice-related information and training, including didactic and experiential education, continuing professional development, residency training, innovative practice model development, professional leadership and international collaboration.

Koval, Thrasher Named to Specialty Council

Peter Koval, PharmD, and Kim Thrasher, PharmD, will serve on a new Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties council to develop a certification for ambulatory-care pharmacy specialists.

PharmD Student Wins RXportfolios National Achievement Award

Adam Overberg, a doctor of pharmacy student at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, has been named a winner of the RXportfolios National Achievement Award.

Ferreri Honored by NACDS

The National Association of Chain Drug Stores and the NACDS Foundation named Stefanie Ferreri, PharmD, as first runner-up for its new Community Pharmacy Faculty Award at the 2009 NACDS Pharmacy & Technology Conference held August 10 in Boston.
