The Division of Pharmacy Practice and Experiential Education (PPEE) supports and advances the practice of pharmacy by providing innovative education and training experiences for pharmacists, both present and future, demonstrating professional leadership, modeling cutting-edge practice and engaging in practiced-based scholarship. The Division serves as a centralized resource for practice-related information and training, including didactic and experiential education, continuing professional development, residency training, innovative practice model development, professional leadership and international collaboration.

Askew Named Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year

The North Carolina Association of Pharmacists has named Jennifer Askew, a preceptor for the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, the 2008 Distinguished Young Pharmacist of the Year in the state.

Vaughan Named Senior Member of AHIP

K. T. Vaughan, MSLS, an adjunct clinical associate professor at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, has been admitted as a senior member of the Academy of Health Information Professionals, the credentialing body for medical and health sciences librarians and information specialists.

School Recognized for Its Efforts to Increase Diversity

The North Carolina Health Careers Access Program has recognized the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy with the Cecil G. Sheps Leadership Award for the School’s efforts to increase the diversity of its student population and the health-care workforce.
