Centers and Services

	Center for Integrative Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery The CICBDD brings dedicated medicinal chemistry expertise to bear on biological targets of therapeutic relevance under investigation by UNC faculty.
	Center for Nanotechnology in Drug Delivery The mission of the CNDD is to safely and effectively translate new drug and imaging discoveries into clinical trials using nanotechnology with the goal to improve human health.
	Institute for Pharmacogenomics and Individualized Therapy The institute brings together researchers and clinicians across the University to create personalized therapies and treatments for patients suffering from a wide variety of conditions.
	NMR Facility The NMR Facility in the School of Pharmacy serves the needs of research groups from across the campus of the University of North Carolina. The facility houses a Varian Gemini 300 and an Inova 500.
	The UNC Cellular Metabolism and Transport Core The Core develops new experimental methodolgies, based on organ perfusion technologies, that can be applied to experimentation typically required for drug development and evaluation. The scope of the Core is to perform experimentation in a variety of isolated or in situ organs and tissues. These experimental techniques and models are available to investigators on a fee-for-service basis in three general areas including cell isolation, drug disposition, and drug action.
	Center for Experimental Therapeutics The Center for Experimental Therapeutics (CET) is a collaborative effort on the part of the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy and the UNC School of Medicine, with direct linkages to the Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center (LCCC) and the General Clinical Research Center (future CTSA). The Center, led by Kim Brouwer, PharmD, PhD, coordinates and enhances Phase I translational research activities in collaboration with the LCCC and UNC Hospitals.
	Center for AIDS Research Clinical Pharmacology and Analytical Chemistry Laboratory The purpose of the Clinical Pharmacology and Analytical Chemistry (CPAC) Laboratory (Core E) is to provide a centralized unit to facilitate the pharmacological and analytical studies of HIV/AIDS related clinical, translational, and basic science research at UNC-CH and at our collaborating institutions, and to establish collaboration with AIDS investigators at other national and international institutions.
	Good Laboratory Practice Analytical Facility The GLP Analytical Facility will support the development of newly discovered drugs and medical testing procedures. The lab will have the capacity to support all pharmacologic studies required as part of the translational development of drugs.
	Center for Educational Excellence in Pharmacy The Center for Educational Excellence in Pharmacy is devoted to helping faculty provide their students with high-quality learning opportunities by improving the practice, scholarship, and research in evidence-based education.
