Richa Dua, PharmD
Fellowship: Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics (Quintiles) Year: First Preceptors: Mary Paine/Jo Ellen Rodgers Location: 2308 Kerr Hall
Richa's research projects include drug metabolism, pharmacokinetic/pharmacodynamic modeling, and drug - xenobiotic interactions. Her current research is focused on defining the contribution of N-glucoronidation pathway in the metabolism of midazolam. She is also engaged in a drug interaction study involving milk thistle which will aid in defining the clinical impact of milk thistle on various drug therapies and their metabolism pathways.

Parag Kumar, PharmD
Fellowship: Drug Development/Clinical Research (United Therapeutics) Year: First Preceptors: Chris Walko/Bill Zamboni Location: 3315 Kerr Hall
Parag’s research interests include the pharmacology of chemotherapeutic drugs and the design of Phase I/II clinical trials. His current research is studying the pharmacokinetics of oral and IV clofarabine (Clorar) and the pharmcokinetics/pharmacodynamics of pegylated liposomal doxorubicin (Doxil), particularly Doxil’s clearance by the reticuloendothelial system.

Christina Mayer, PharmD
Fellowship: Pharmacokinetics/Pharmacodynamics (GSK) Year: First Preceptors: Roy Hawke/Kim Brouwer Location: 3315 Kerr Hall
Christina's current interests and activities include characterizing the PK/PD behavior of xenobiotics to improve the clinical utilization of drugs, effectively using modeling and simulation tools to predict drug behavior and guide drug development, and providing clinicians with meaningful interpretation of PK/PD and drug interaction information in order to improve patient care. Christina is currently engaged in a research study investigating the PK/PD interaction between two herbal products, milk thistle and green tea extract, in patients with chronic hepatitis C infection. In addition to PK/PD, Christina's other clinical and scientific interests include neurology, infectious diseases, and comparative biology, with particular focus on comparative anatomy, genetics, and pharmacology.
