This course examines the role of patient-reported outcome measures in studying the impact of illness and the effects of pharmaceutical products and services. The course provides an overview of the theoretical foundations underlying the assessment of patient-reported outcomes, reviews methods used to develop and assess the psychometric properties of patient-reported outcome measures, and examines how these measures are currently used in research and practice.
