Erin Heinzen granted tenure in DPET
January 3, 2024Erin Heinzen, Pharm.D., Ph.D., associate professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics (DPET) at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, has been granted tenure. She also holds a joint appointment in the UNC Department of Genetics. “Tenure is a great honor to receive. Expanding School’s reach at prestigious national conference
December 13, 2023Creating an engaging culture is a priority for leaders at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, such that it’s built into the School’s BEYOND strategic plan. Underscoring their commitment to this priority, School leaders attended the 2023 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS) in Phoenix, Arizona last month. Student selected for first Community Pharmacy Student Scholar Leader Program
December 11, 2023Caroline Eason, Pharm.D. candidate, Class of 2025, is a third generation UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy student who plans to follow her grandfather and father’s footsteps in community pharmacy. “Watching my grandfather in my early childhood and my dad today serving our community – it’s inspired me to go into pharmacy and community pharmacy specifically,” Eason said. New health tech platform to help fight the opioid crisis
December 6, 2023The Eshelman Institute for Innovation (EII), within the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, is set to launch a new health tech platform aimed at serving patients with opioid use disorder (OUD). The platform, dubbed Goldie, is a case management tool for community paramedics and peer support specialists serving patients with OUD. EII has chosen coastal Carteret County to be one of the first locations to pilot Goldie. “We are excited to pilot our Goldie digital health solution in Carteret County. November 29, 2023Carla Y. White has been promoted to associate professor in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (PACE) at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy.
