Erin Heinzen granted tenure in DPET

Erin Heinzen, Pharm.D., Ph.D., associate professor in the Division of Pharmacotherapy and Experimental Therapeutics (DPET) at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, has been granted tenure. She also holds a joint appointment in the UNC Department of Genetics.  “Tenure is a great honor to receive. Expanding School’s reach at prestigious national conference

Creating an engaging culture is a priority for leaders at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, such that it’s built into the School’s BEYOND strategic plan. Underscoring their commitment to this priority, School leaders attended the 2023 Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists (ABRCMS) in Phoenix, Arizona last month.  ABRCMS is one of the largest meetings in the country to showcase minority talent, with approximately 5,550 individuals attending this year. Student selected for first Community Pharmacy Student Scholar Leader Program

New health tech platform to help fight the opioid crisis

The Eshelman Institute for Innovation (EII), within the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy, is set to launch a new health tech platform aimed at serving patients with opioid use disorder (OUD). The platform, dubbed Goldie, is a case management tool for community paramedics and peer support specialists serving patients with OUD. Associate Dean Carla White promoted to associate professor

Carla Y. White has been promoted to associate professor in the Division of Practice Advancement and Clinical Education (PACE) at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. She is also a pharmacist and the Associate Dean of Organizational Diversity and Inclusion at the School.   White is a highly regarded thought leader, educator, influencer and pragmatic disruptor in the cultural intelligence space.
