Chapel Hill, Elizabeth City, or Asheville?

The UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy has two satellite campuses in addition to the Chapel Hill campus, one in Elizabeth City and one in Asheville. A maximum of 185 PharmD students are enrolled each year across North Carolina:

The admission criteria are the same for all three sites. Because all three sites are part of a single program, you do not select your preferred site when applying through PharmCAS. You will be asked to rank the three campuses in order of preference on the online supplemental application.

Transferring from another school of pharmacy

Students who are currently enrolled in another ACPE-accredited school of pharmacy and are in good academic standing may apply for transfer to the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Transfer students must compete for admission along with the entire applicant pool for that admission cycle, which means that their GPA and PCAT scores must be competitive for admission. Once admitted, their coursework will be evaluated for credit. Please note that transferring from another school of pharmacy typically delays graduation by one year.

Students who wish to transfer to the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy must complete and submit the supplemental application by March 1 prior to the fall in which they are seeking admission. All additional paperwork, including the signature sheet, application fee, two letters of recommendation and official college transcripts must be postmarked by March 1. Please call the Office of Student Services at 919-966-9429 for more information or for an application.
