Admissions: MS
All applications to the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy's master of science in health-system pharmacy program must be made through the UNC Graduate School. Please apply using the online application. Follow the Graduate School's instructions to complete the application. For more information, please contact gradinfo@unc.edu.
Applications for admission must be supported by scores on the Graduate Record Examination, letters of recommendation, and a statement of personal goals as they relate to graduate study at the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy. Please also carefully review the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy MS application requirements.
Students must be licensed or in the process of being licensed as pharmacists in North Carolina when they start the program (July 1).
Admission is a selective process. Over the last five years, successful applicants have achieved combined scores averaging greater than 1200 on the GRE for the verbal and quantitative sections. A minimum fiftieth percentile score is required for each section. Successful applicants have had average grades of B or better (3.0 GPA).
Deadlines
Applications submitted as late as April 15 will be considered for fall admission if space is available. In addition, each applicant will also need to be matched into an ASHP-accredited pharmacy practice residency at a hospital that partners with the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy MS program.
Being admitted to the Graduate School does not imply that you will receive financial assistance of any kind. The awarding of financial assistance is a separate decision.
