The Eshelman School of Pharmacy Graduate Student Organization would like to welcome all of our first year students. As a second year student, I remember vividly what it was like to move to the Chapel Hill area. I was bored to tears, but that is only because I didn’t know what to do or where to go. To ameliorate this situation Mary Carroll, Matthew Dufek, Dan Hertz, Nate Pfeifer, Luke Roode, Christina Won, Beth Vasievich (2009-2010 GSO Committee) updated this website. This site contains enough activities to keep anyone busy for a long time. In the following pages, you can find information about restaurants, movie theaters, campus and professional organizations, shopping, religious and spiritual communities and points of interest in the area. So go ahead and explore the area or participate in some groups, the more involved you become the more exciting your graduate student career will be.

I look forward to seeing all of the new first year students out on the town and if not there then at the GSO meetings.
