School of Pharmacy Pride in Excellence Awards

Eligibility

SPA full-time, permanent employees with at least 200 consecutive days of employment in the School through May 1, 2007, are eligible to be nominated.

Selection Criteria

The annual recognition, which includes monetary awards ranging from $500 to $1,500, is given to outstanding employees who exemplify outstanding work in any or all of the following areas:

• Teamwork
• Performance excellence
• Productivity
• Learning achievement
• Commitment

• Quality of work

These awards are separate from the Staff Award for Excellence, which recognizes an extraordinary individual.

Selection Process

All permanent staff employees and faculty in the School of Pharmacy are invited to submit nominations. Nominations should be submitted electronically via the nomination form. Supporting documentation is acceptable and should not exceed two pages.

The 2007 deadline for nominations is Wednesday, May 16, 2007 at 5 p.m. Send nomination forms to SOPHR@unc.edu.

Selection Committee

The Selection Committee is comprised of the School of Pharmacy Executive Committee. The committee will decide the top 30 percent of staff employees who are performing at the highest level within the above stated criteria.

Presentation

The awards will be presented during the annual Staff Appreciation Banquet at the end of the fiscal year.
