Pamela U. Joyner is Associate Dean for Professional Education and Clinical Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She received her Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy and her Master of Science in Hospital Pharmacy from UNC-Chapel Hill. While serving as Director of Pharmacy Education at the Wake Area Health Education Center, Dr. Joyner completed a Doctor of Education degree at North Carolina State University. Dr. Joyner returned to the UNC School of Pharmacy in 1996 as Director of External Professional Programs. She was appointed as Associate Dean for Professional Education in 1998 and has leadership responsibility for the Offices of Student Services, Curriculum and Assessment as well as the UNC-Chapel Hill/Elizabeth City State University Partnership Program. Dr. Joyner's current research interests include curricular transformation and interdisciplinary education.
