Pempe, Xu Receive University Impact Awards for ResearchLiz Pempe and Weichen Xu were recognized for their outstanding research initiatives. Pempe is exploring better methods of controlling the clearance of the anticoagulant heparin from the body, while Xu is seeking a way to distinguish between slow-growing and aggressive prostate cancer.
School to Increase Graduate Student StipendsThe stipend for all doctoral candidates in the PhD program in pharmaceutical sciences will increase by $2,500 in fall 2012 and another $2,000 in fall 2013.
