Changing the Default View of a Folder

By default, when someone goes to a folder on the site, they are shown a list of the items in that folder. However, there will be times (frequently, in fact) where you would want to show a landing page instead of a list of items when someone goes to a folder, since folders serve as sections on the Web site. This is easily done. Here's an example showing you how:

In this example, we are in a folder called Test Lab, which contains several pages (Test Page 1, 2, and 3). By default, we get a list showing the contents of the Test Lab folder. However, we want to make it so that when someone goes to “Test Lab”, instead of the list, they see Test Page 1.

To do so, go to the Test Lab and click on “Display”, and pick “Select a content item as default view”.

Pick Test Page 1 from the list and click “Save”.
