RESEARCH SYNOPSIS

Dr. Liu’s research focuses on various aspects of organic and medicinal chemistry, including design and synthesis of bioactive molecules as anticancer and antiviral agents. He has developed novel methodologies in organic chemistry and is interested in exploration of new intermediates for biologically active compounds.

PROFILE

Ying-Qian Liu received his PhD in Bioorganic Chemistry with an emphasis in chemistry from State Key Laboratory of Applied Organic Chemistry at Lanzhou University in China. Now he worked as an associate professor of school of pharmacy in the same university. He is currently a Visiting Scholar at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has published over 30 research articles in the field of organic and medicinal chemistry.
