Research synopsis:

Preclinical studies on a family of natural products phenanthroindolizidines and phenanthroquinolizidines such as tylophorine, antofine, and cryptopleurine analogs as potential drugs for treating lung, colon, and breast cancer. Total synthesis of complex natural molecules that have interesting anticancer activity and development of such therapeutic agents into clinical trials.
