Wendy Cox, PharmD
Wendy Cox, PharmD, received her doctor of pharmacy from the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1998. She then completed a pharmacy practice residency at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1999 and a primary care specialty residency affiliated with Campbell University in 2000 at Kaiser Permanente in Cary, NC and Southern Regional Area Health Education Center, in Fayetteville, NC.
Prior to joining the Office of Professional Education, Cox worked as an AHEC faculty member until 2005, serving as the coordinator of pharmacy education at the Northwest AHEC, and then as the director of pharmacotherapy services at the Wake AHEC with a clinical practice in ambulatory care. In 2002 she joined the UNC Eshelman School of Pharmacy as the director of student services. In 2010 she was named the assistant dean for professional education.
