Richard Kowalsky, PharmD
Dr. Kowalsky received his B.S. in Pharmacy at the University of Connecticut, and his Pharm.D. with hospital pharmacy residency in pharmaceutical technology and radioactive drugs at the University of Kentucky. He directs the Nuclear Pharmacy Laboratory at UNC Hospitals and the Authorized Nuclear Pharmacist training program in the School of Pharmacy. He is a Fellow of APhA and recipient of the William H. Briner Distinguished Achievement Award in Nuclear Pharmacy Practice. He is principal author of the textbook, Radiopharmaceuticals in Nuclear Pharmacy and Nuclear Medicine, 2nd Ed. Dr. Kowalsky’s research interests focus on applying radioactivity and radioactive drugs to solve clinical research problems.
