K.T. Vaughan, MSLS
With her background in plant genetics, chemistry, environmental sciences, and public policy, K.T. Vaughan brings a unique perspective to the Health Sciences Library and the School of Pharmacy that enables her to work in partnership with a very diverse clientele. She is active in the American Society for Information Science & Technology and the American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy, and is a faculty member of the Carolina Center for Genome Science. Vaughan held an internship at the Environmental Protection Agency RTP Library and a fellowship at North Carolina State University Libraries before coming to the UNC Health Sciences Library in 2003.

- The integration of informatics into research, teaching, and clinical practice
- The use of information technologies to enhance and improve the educational process
- The recruitment and retention of medical librarians
