Bio
Dr. Koval received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Campbell University School of Pharmacy in May 1994. Following graduation he completed a Pharmacy Practice Residency at the Moses H. Cone Health System in Greensboro, North Carolina, and then completed a second year of Primary Care residency training in St. Louis, Missouri. He returned to Greensboro in 1996. His current title is Clinical Associate Professor at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Eshelman School of Pharmacy. His clinical pharmacy position is in collaboration with the Greensboro Area Health Education Center (AHEC), and the Moses Cone Family Practice Residency Program. His practice includes a variety of chronic disease management including smoking cessation. Dr. Koval has been Board Certification in Pharmacotherapy since 1998 and currently serves as chair of the Board of Pharmaceutical Specialties Ambulatory Care Council.
