Kim Leadon, MEd
Kim Leadon directs the Professional Experience Program and oversees the clerkship management, placement and evaluative processes for all professional students. Leadon coordinates approximately 1,700 student IPPE and APPE rotation months each year. Additionally, she directs the preceptor development and training program.
Prior to joining the School's faculty in July 2000, Leadon directed several large programs at the Wake AHEC in Raleigh, North Carolina. As director of the Office of Regional Primary Care Education, she provided leadership and direction for the interdisciplinary training of health science students in community-based teaching sites. As director of the Continuing Medical Education Program, Leadon developed, implemented and evaluated all the continuing medical education activities for physicians in a nine-county region.
