Dr. Liu is currently a senior scientist at the Center for Integrative Chemical Biology and Drug Discovery. His research is focusing on two drug discovery projects: Mer kinase inhibitors and mutant IDH1 inhibitors.

He earned his PhD. from Brigham Young University and did postdoctoral research work at University of Utah. He has experience in both natural product total synthesis and novel synthetic methodology development.
